I agree . I think TD tried to put that in place for teh bots but I don't see it making a difference.
The 15 secs limit was allright ;)

They should impose a 2 minute limit for red users.

The bots seem to be immune. What is obvious is some of the characters that are bots and when they turn their bots on. So why not just ban them?

Nope, it's a practical view.

Yellow users with under 1000 posts - very likely to spam useless shit - 45 seconds
Yellow users with over 1000 posts - likely to post semi-useful things - 20 seconds
Green users - just as likely to post useful as useless stuff - 30 seconds
Red users - almost always post either :1orglaugh :1orglaugh or yoooo0ooo! - 2 minutes

yea, I agree, 35 seconds is excessive, 15 seconds was just perfect...

There is no option to set different times for different groups. The 35-second rule will stay as is for now. If I see a mass increase in bots as we aproach the 10-millionth post mark, it may even increase to 40. On a new and default install of vBulletin the time between posts is actually 45-seconds.
