Serial shooter in PHX - security measures

"Last week, Phoenix added the July 22 shooting of a bicyclist in his mid-30s to the list of crimes believed committed by the shooter credited with 35 human and animal attacks in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Avondale and Tolleson since May 2005. Five people died."

So we have a killer in the valley that drives around and randomly shoots people/animals. Nice.

The shootings have been distributed all over, so it appears no one is safe. : (

Actually, I'm not really concerned but the family is, especially my oldest girl, as big brother has given her too much information pertaining to this case.

Being in the home improvement mood lately, I was at Home Depot yesterday and picked up a few window alarms, a security pin for the sliding door, and some cheap window locks.

Funny how 20 bucks worth of hardware gives so much piece of mind to kids : )

That's scary shit, especially if you have kids that play outside.

How have 35 people been shot without anyone getting a good lead? that's nuts

Man... looks like this guy is finally one of those whack jobs you always see in the films where he has no motive at all other than to kill, and seems to follow no recognizable pattern. Unless somebody just gets lucky in spooting/recognizing him... he could be anyone. EVEN RONALD REAGAN dum dum DUUUUUUUUM. Oh wait? he?s dead. EVEN RONALD MCDONALD dum dum DUUUUUUUUM!

yeah, and there is no pattern to it. The shootings have been spread all over the valley, one happening a few miles from me. :Oh crap
