Why Does Bush Send Condi Rice To Talk To The Arabs????
I used to think that hey.. This is a man's job.. blah blah... Now I know why..
Bush is trying to insult them. These Arabs don't let women do shit. So when Bush sends a chick to negotiante with them that must be very insulting for them.. It is pretty funny if you think about it.. or sad.. I don't know which. |
Clinton sent Maddie Halfbright for 8 years !
|
She's an idiot, he's an idiot. They are all idiots. I can't believe we haven't gotten rid of the whole lot of them and started over.
|
Because she is the Secretary of State. She is our head diplomat.
|
Um, that is her job.

In Israel, the number of Christian Jews, known as Messianic Jews, has doubled in size to about 10,000 due to recent immigration waves. Posted: Saturday, April 30 , 2005, 16:40 (BST) In Israel, the number of Christian Jews, known as Messianic Jews, has doubled in size to about 10,000 due to recent immigration waves, according to Messianic leaders and evangelism opponents. Eitan Shishkoff, the leader of a Messianic community in Haifa, located about 70 miles north of Jerusalem, says that there are roughly 10,000 members in 80 Messianic congregations around the country. The population is twice that of 1980?s, when significant numbers of immigrants from the former Soviet Union began entering the country, according to the Jerusalem Post. Shishkoff says that 70 percent of the members in his congregation of 270 are from the Soviet Union. In Israel, it is illegal for evangelism efforts to involve material benefits for prospective converts, according to the Jerusalem Post. Yad L?Achim, and "anti-missionary" organisation opposed to "proselytism" since 1950, says that the Russian-speakers are being approached because of their "weak ties to Judaism and poor socioeconomic status," and are being "bought" through material benefits, according to the Post. Shishkoff denies the allegation. "Maybe a few of our members first came in contact with us through the charity, but 98 percent of them didn?t ? make that 99.9 percent," he said. I think it's pretty damn funny sending a black christian women into the middle east. Would be even better if she showed up eating a pork chop. :1orglaugh
|
I have a theory that the reason that most of the BBC's Middle East reporters are women is done just to piss off the local governments.
While I am not a Condi fan I don't see why we shouldn't have a woman in a position just because another country doesn't like it. That would be the same as saying there shouldn't be a black person at all in that job because some countries are racist. |

I guess we should just appease the prejudices of those people huh? |
People have jobs that they are strong in, that is hers. She is an excellent public speaker and even though we may not all believe what comes out of her mouth, it's better coming from her than Bush.
Whether she is a woman or not should not matter. We should not surrender our jobs for the beliefs of others. |

To militant Arab Muslims white Christian men are the ultimate enemy.
A black female is not seen in the same hostile light. This is why you had Jesse Jackson negotiating for hostages with success a while back instead of anyone from the government. In 1984, Jackson successfully secured the release of a Navy pilot held in Syria. In 1991, he helped secure the release of 500 "international guests" held in Iraq and in 1999, he worked to convince Yugoslavia to release three U.S. soldiers held there during the Kosovo conflict. Condi is the lesser of two evils in this case. |

I certainly agree with your second paragraph, and your point about her being a good public speaker. BUT, I don't think public speaking is her job as Secretary of State. Her job is to be our voice to other countries, to deal with their leaders and diplomats. In that, I think so far, she has done a terrible job. In fact, I'm starting to think that the neo-cons picked her to head the State Department so she could take the fall on the next fuck up, which is turning out to be Israel/Lebanon. :2 cents: |
The more important question there is, if her trip there has helped solved the problem or not.

all i can say is wow good thing there is such a thing as the porn biz:thumbsup
