Is my SEO company Fucking Me?
 

I run a phone sex site. I've paid about 8k out in SEO in 5 months. Last month, I bitched about not seeing results and they halfed my price..

Well with the 4472 going into effect last week.. I told them I needed to cancel because of the "Misleading Hyperlink" law. Well he attempts to tell me that I'm worrying too much.. and that phone sex is such a small niche.. I won't be searched, I won't be this.. I won't be that..

And then he tells me, "If you're so worried, have your lawyer call me..."

I've got a session set up with Joe from xxxlaw after internext... I seriously doubt he's gonna have time to get on the phone with this guy...

I just WANT TO CANCEL. I've had to buy an office for 4472... Money's tight.. AND I mean, I had a PR ranking of 5 when this company started with my phone sex site.... The last update a few weeks ago took it back down to a ZERO...

I've not seen any results except increased backlinks in 5 months...

They stronghold and sweet talk me every time I try to cancel..

I just don't feel comfortable with these new laws.. and them putting my backlinks on mainstream companies...

They'e one of the TOP SEO companies out there... They've got alot of clients.. I just highly doubt they've got enough adult clients to get me the big amount of backlinks they had been pumping..

add that with the lost page rank..

I should dump them..

I to am in phone sex. These new laws are not to be looked over because were just in phone sex. Reguardless of our size, Were in adult also. Phone Sex is coming back!

You haven't seen results and have been using them for 5 months and still consider these people as a top SEO firm? I can't see a reputable SEO firm cutting your bill in half unless you were really receiving poor service.

I am wondering what kind of misleading links you are using for phone sex that would apply. Talk to Homer Simpson? Talk to Barbie?

To answer your question, if you are not under a contract just tell them you are cancelling. If you stop paying I am pretty sure they will get the message.

Note: if you paid $8k for 5 months ($1,600/mo) then I highly doubt they are as good as they say they are.

1 - you are getting fucked
2 - you cant get your money back now, they are lost - move on.
3 - you should get out of the deal with them asap. since its clear they are hurting your business.
4 - Don't trust external SEO workers, If they were as good as they claimed, they would work on their own project. So if you want SEO, Educate your own staff, or hire a full-time person - its worth it

From PR5 to PR0 ? Ouch!
