Would you rather live in extreme heat or extreme cold?

Like 110 degrees or 0 degrees?

Hot isn't comfortable, but I despise the cold. I hate being really cold. Kansas winters ruined me.

I would choose the heat.

baddog 08-01-2006 11:21 AM

I would have to go with the cold as you can always put more clothes on . . . but I hate extremes, which is why I live here.

Waveu6410 08-01-2006 11:22 AM

110 i can go swimming and get a tan :D

he-fox 08-01-2006 11:22 AM

Heat rather than cold. But I love the weather here, 70-100F all around the year.

Forest 08-01-2006 11:24 AM

OG LennyT 08-01-2006 11:25 AM

since I live in Phoenix, I guess I answered it.

but

I do miss the snowy, cold nights in Colorado sometimes.

WebairGerard 08-01-2006 11:28 AM

I like the weather in the North Eastern US. Give me four season anytime. I would not like warm all year or cold all year. I like seasonal changes.

ContentSHOOTER 08-01-2006 11:28 AM

I would prefer the heat and Palm Trees:2 cents:

Tom_PM 08-01-2006 11:29 AM

True you can always put more clothes on, but you can only get just so naked. I'd rather have around 70-80 degrees F everyday.
I like the change of seasons, but not the extreme extremes.

kristin 08-01-2006 11:30 AM

I grew up an hour from Buffalo and while it was not always super cold, there was too much snow.

I'll take heat.

mikeyddddd 08-01-2006 11:32 AM

Heat. I'd rather sweat my ass off than be just a little bit cold.

Chio The Pirate 08-01-2006 11:35 AM

YARGH! Heat. Pools make heat bearable and I don't think the alternative of jumping in a fire would be safe.

CDSmith 08-01-2006 11:35 AM

0 degrees? As in 0 F? Hell, 0 is nothing, it's a breeze. Pffft

I can do 0 standing on my head. I'll take 0 any day over 110 degree heat.

Try -35 or -45.... we get at least a few weeks of that every winter. Solution: stay inside, turn up the heat, watch tv, read a book, cook some food, make sweet love to your woman, play 400 hours of pc games.

Magix 08-01-2006 11:36 AM

mm i think cold :) as someone already said her "ypu can always put your clothes on" besides i like to sleep when is cold :)

testpie 08-01-2006 11:38 AM

Cold everytime. As has been said, it is easier to "generate heat" than to loose it.

fris 08-01-2006 11:39 AM

cold, but i am used to it.

Sultry_Selenia 08-01-2006 11:39 AM

I like the cold. I can't really sleep in the heat and with no central air conditioning it's been pretty bad.

Cory W 08-01-2006 11:40 AM

I hate cold. I hated Kansas when it got down to 0 for a high. I dreaded getting out of the car to even walk to a cafe or what-not.

I can handle the heat. I don't feel like I can't walk outside in it.

I love 75 degrees, but I also really like 40 degrees, no wind, dry night. Throw on a flannel.

At night, in my bed, I would opt for cold then. But I am talking day to day on goings.

BluewireAngie 08-01-2006 11:42 AM

heat....

Aneros Josh 08-01-2006 11:45 AM

That's funny...I always ask this question to people when I'm out...I would definitely take heat because frostbite and losing your limbs is overrated...

HpicAnn 08-01-2006 11:55 AM

Heat for sure!

Cassie 08-01-2006 11:55 AM

the thing with heat is that you can only take so much off. you are still hot regardless. with cold weather, you can put on as many layers as will fit to keep warm.

i'd take the cold over this crap anyday of the year. 110 degrees does not bode well with me. it's cooler in hell right now!

I agree... 0 is like a walk in the park in most parts of Canada, I've seen it go to -72 below when I lived up in the NWT, just fucking bitter cold!!!

Gabriel 08-01-2006 12:04 PM

Heat for sure...dry heat, humidity is not fat friendly and I hate smiley faces under my manboobs.

I dont do well in cold...think of how easy butter spreads when at room temp as opposed to just out of the fridge. ;)

Tom_PM 08-01-2006 12:08 PM

Kansas? oh yeah man, they get the extreme heat and extreme cold. Plus tornadoes, and the land is so flat you could see 50 miles if you stood on a turtle.

IWantU_Jeff 08-01-2006 12:44 PM

gave up the cold ass winters of montreal for warmer days in costa rica.
I find there are times I still bitch about it being cold here.. dont think Im looking forward to going to TO this christmas if Im bitching about it getting cold in costa rica now lol..
Im going to have to go with the heat...way better that the cold..only thing that would suck with the heat is no skiing or snowboarding.

Mr. Romance 08-01-2006 12:48 PM

I have lived in both....however, I can live in extreme heat if it is dry heat...like Scottsdale AZ (Florida Sucks with the humidity)..I can live in Extreme cold if it is dry as well...like when I lived in Vail Colorado

Mr. Romance

Z 08-01-2006 12:51 PM

I already chose...it's heat for me baby.

Sultry_Selenia 08-01-2006 02:03 PM

Well it's hard to do day to day stuff when you get 4 hours of sleep every 48 or so because it's too damn hot. :p

Neither of those qualify as extreme. 90 and 30 are pretty much my tolerable temps.

madawgz 08-01-2006 02:12 PM

id rather be in the cold forsure, i cant even breathe in this weather :\

MandyBlake 08-01-2006 02:14 PM

i'd rather be in extreme cold.

WarChild 08-01-2006 02:14 PM

Right, I enjoy 40. I don't even mind 30.

90 is fine by me.

kanalj 08-01-2006 02:17 PM

Heat, women have less clothes on ;)

C H R I S 08-01-2006 02:26 PM

Hate em both.... thats why I live by the beach.... if you had to press me - probably heat...

Miss Lissa 08-01-2006 02:27 PM

Heat!!! I love being in the water!!!

Honez 08-01-2006 02:28 PM

110 degrees is normal for Phoenix. I am pretty much over it and all this sun though. I think I would opt for neither cold nor heat. I want a rainy climate!

Quagmire 08-01-2006 02:32 PM

I prefer the cold to heat. I can sleep in the cold, but without A/C I can't sleep in the heat.

I like having a nice fire going and warming a house up in the winter.

$5 submissions 08-01-2006 02:32 PM

I've lived in extremely hot places before and I can't do anything mid-day. Just too hot. I'd like to try extreme cold.

one time 08-01-2006 02:33 PM

i would stick with the heat too...im kinda partial to hot weather just need a lot of water a lot of water...lol...cold tends to slow me down on many levels and requires a lot more thinking and concentrating the heat tends to let me flow...

NTSS 08-01-2006 02:40 PM

I would prefer the heat...I hate the fucking cold...more to do outdoors in the heat to.

Mr. Blue 08-01-2006 02:42 PM

Extreme cold...I can always have sex to keep warm

AVNedison 08-01-2006 02:46 PM

Heat. I can surf all day with this weather.

Magalie 08-01-2006 02:47 PM

DRY heat ! Anytime !

Tanker 08-01-2006 02:47 PM

I like the heat more for sure thats why I go to Florida when the snow comes

Mutt 08-01-2006 02:50 PM

i hate heat but if the question is a choice between extreme heat - 100 degrees 12 months a year - or extreme cold - below zero 12 months a year - that's a tough call - i think i'd go with the heat even though I like winter - because 12 months of it - that i couldn't deal with.

Kansas doesn't have extreme cold winters.
