are you the brain child that dreams this stuff up to promote a company thats only going to fight an uphill battle right up until it silently fades away leaving nothing on this earth but debt and a trail of threads like "paymonde is not answering thier phones anymore... did anyone else get paid?"

its a great marketing idea. i am sure all the webmasters that don't live in a city, live on a farm in the middle of nowhere and have kids, who all also happen to think its important enough during an important industry networking event to be on standby at the paymonde booth, just to find out if they won something they can't use, will love it. sounds well thought out to me!

That's who usually gets screwed by these pieces of junk. I bought a Chinese-made go-cart for my son and it was nothing but trouble. Had to be returned to the dealer for a refund, after 6 months of trying to get it repaired to where it would function properly. (i.e. so my 12 year old son didn't have to use ignition spray to get it started and risk blowing his face or hands off). The dealer literally had to quit selling the whole line, which included mini-bikes and ATVs as well. There is not a single quality ATV that comes from China.

If you want to do a decent contest, then offer a quad from an established company, (Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Polaris, etc.) 90 cc or whatever their smallest size is. All you are giving away here is a headache.

For some reason the Chinese atv's just haven't blossomed yet. Partially due to a non-existant dealer network (almost impossible to get repairs/parts), and partially due to them being made poorly. (which is why they are so much cheaper than your standard ATV)

since you have to kiss almost single persons ass in this biz... i give you a pass on anything you say. i understand that you can't step on anyones toes and its just biz.

and when i am ready to launch a new billing company (which this industry needs about as much as we all need genital herpes), i will PM you right away to announce the prize. I am imagining something equally practical, useful and appealing.... like 300 live chickens.

I have done so many prizes over the years, try about almost 15 years, from thousands of dollars, to trips to stress toys and everything in between.

Never in all my years of marketing and especially in this industry have I encountered a person like PleasurePays and his 300 chickens.

It's sad actually.


And Jace, you have a good point, we discussed just for Paymonde clients and not just at show. I think they are talking about a Paymonde client only contest when we return from the show. PleasurePays need not enter.

haha... i'd like to enter but i'll be busy searching out other businesses who are entering a market where the failure rate is over 90% and everyone has been burned by, to give my money too. A fact of course, which i will promptly forget as they woooo me with great prizes like The Simple Life season 3 on DVD, a bag of tarantulas and viles of small pox.
