I think the civilization website was just a joke made by Firaxis Games as entertainment on how good the game is and how addicting it can be.

On the topic of WoW, I know a few friends of mine that play that game nonstop, and have lost their jobs, girlfriends, social lives, and other things cause of that game. WoW is just another world where some people can be uber in a fantasy world, cause they aren't shit in this one.

WoW addiction is serious. Someone can make some good bling offering counseling/support services for such individuals. It's also just the beginning....as more and more MMORPGs get EXTREMELY immersive expect to see more addiction cases.

Peep start realising it with WOW ... but ALL blizzard games are addictive... Diablo2 had so many addicts back then.
