I love golfing, but never belonged to any sort of organizations or anything.... now I got some stuff from the USGA, and I was wondering if any of you golfers know if it's worth being a part of something like that? They give you discounted greens fees or something?

If you are really an advid golfer then it's not bad. You will get some discounts and tons of mainstream spam for golf related stuff.:Graucho

Not really worth it if it only gives you a discount at some clubs.

If you want discounts on golf buy a package of 50 or 100 games. That serves you better than the USGA ever will.

golf is gay IMHO....take away the clubs and all it is is walking..there is no true skills in it

nah, I don't get out on the courses enough for it to be worth it... although I wish I did! :)

Thats like saying there is no skill in Pool, and I have bet and WON hundreds if not thousandskicking guys ass in Pool my whole life ;)

Id consider Pool and Golf both VERY skillful and eye hand coordination games, much mroe than hairy overgrown cavemen running around a field with a ball, Holy Shit, dont let them pick up Hockey Sticks, they lose ALL sense of GAME then hahaha

aside from requiring skill to be any good at it, it's one of those games that you really don't have to be good to enjoy.... there is nothin' better than an afternoon on the links with friends and some good cigars.... that is when life is truly complete. :thumbsup

although, that one time when my brother rolled the cart while drag racin' to the 9th hole kinda sucked...

I cant say I have touched clubs since I was maybe like 16, which would be over a decade ago now ;), buit had a cousin (in my hometown New Orleans) who lived in a closed off gated Community really fuckign ncie, by far one of the most successful people in my family, this is also where Al Copeland the creator and owner of Popeyes lives and Half the New Orleans Saints "Beau Chene" is the area.

Anyway, being young wild fucks, we used to just charge up the "Golf Cart" his dad (not my uncle - rich folk divorce a lot ;) had his own Golf Cart, and we would just get high and ride all over the course chasing girls and stuff, actually man Amp, thanks for bringing up Golf bro, I truly think back then was the first time I ever smoked on the herbs, damn... its been awhile.

Youre right though bro, reminiscing with good friends during success over good drinks and any game is where life begins, I sit out with my boys regularly, whether its sitting around with our guitars, or chilling at Staple Center watching the real fucking Kings kick some ass sipping 9 dollar 16 ounce heneikens, either way, its all about good times.

Rock on Amp. I lost 2 family members this month bro, nearing a third, and I can honestly say, there would be nothing mroe I would rather do, than to be chill with them one last day, either on a golf course, or anywhere, its THOSe times you remember, not the bad ones.

Enjoy it while ya can brutha, we're all along side ya. And we aint got long to go.l
