Ever read Chariot of the Gods?

What a great book, I can't put it down. Free thinkers would enjoy this book.

Quotes the bible and all the old stories...recalls the sumerian legends etc.
Direct quotes in the bible...all of this to basically say GOD was an alien.

This book is a must read for anyone with unanswered questions..lol

Read it back in the mid '70's,

Yep, terrific book.

If this subject really interests you, you may want to delve further into it after you're finished this book. Ronald Story wrote a book rebutting Dhahaha228;niken's ideas in 1976: "The Space Gods Revealed."

For books that explore the more biblical side of the subject try Hal Lindsay's "The late great planet earth", and if you're left wanting more there he wrote another one called "There's a new world coming" which really gets into interpretation of the book of Revelations.

Of course none of it is something to be swallowed hook line and sinker, but I hazard a guess there are bits and pieces of real truth scattered about in all of them, much of it quite fascinating to read.

Von Daniken has another book that is very interesting:
"Arrival of the Gods". Is about the Nazca lines in Peru.
Fantastic photos btw.
