Shit loads very fast now...

In addition, FF seems to have memory problems... Grows to 250megs in memory and when I used to load 10 tabs of threads I wanted to keep tabs on, FF would take up 70% of the CPU... Flash ads maybe?

Now it doesn't do either...

i turned off images a long time ago and it rocks the speed. but I like some info from the sig so you have an idea who the person is.

posts dont mean anything, i know some big affils who have less than 200 posts since 2002 on here.

This is what it comes to when board whoring goes unchallenged. You have 4-5 sigwhores in before any substance. That puts strain on the servers and our computers to load not only their post but their sigs and so forth. Perhaps if these people weren't allowed to post 200 times a day each, people wouldn't have to turn off ads just to load it at a normal rate.

That one made me remove ads, when I´m browsing GFY... so now I have no idea who sponsors GFY or what the sig whores are milking :-)

I've had sigs turned off for awhile now and would love to get the flash ads killed as well as they somtimes crash my system.

What entry did you use for the host file? I can't seem to get it to work mapping bbs.gofuck... to an IP

i use a firefox plugin called adblock

The latest update 1.5.0.5 seems like they've fixed all the memory leaks.

I actually like sigs. Shows me what programs people are backing and who's who. Could do without the slow flash ads though.
