Since when did it become illegal to photograph police officers with cell phones?

Cruz claims police told him he was violating a new law which made it illegal for anyone to take pictures of police using a cell phone. He also claimed they threatened him with conspiracy, impeding an investigation and obstruction of justice charges.

Laws in the us where made to be ammended (apparently that includes your right to freedom)
They can shure film you when they want to, They might even be watching you from a GPS Sattalite right now.

This shit happens a lot more than people think. Cops have absolute power and an investigation by IA is laughable. Cops investigating cops, that should get real far.

personally, i would never POINT anything at a cop. I don't have a deathwish.

tony286 07-30-2006 09:55 PM

Pornwolf 07-30-2006 10:06 PM

I think we should take pics of cops eating doughnuts and getting numbers from chicks and make it a web site. www.copsbehavingbadly.com

I wouldn't suggest you do this if you live in the USA though. Bad things WILL start to happen to you.

Kimo 07-30-2006 11:08 PM

fucking stupid

LiveDose 07-30-2006 11:16 PM

Laws like that were made for breaking.

last summer, some bum was runnin around town screaming "sieg heil" half naked.. the police arrived and I walked over there.. standing a couple of meters behind them I snapped a picture and the cop went bananas.. "you can't take pictures! it's illegal" and I just said it's a public place and I can take pictures of what I want.. then I thought he was gonna punch me in the face or something.. he wasn't happy.. I took a couple of steps back and made my getaway..

Police state.

Try photographing cops in other western countries and they'll either not notice or put on their best side and act to look good - with a smirk

Tho last time they were asked to pose with a topless model - the cop agreed, but got reprimanded later - poor ass :winkwink:

Me and a friend were drunk at a party and we were taking pics of him by a police car, the cop made me delete all the pics from the camera because he said it was illegal to take pics of his car. I was to drunk to argue.

its illegal to obstruct a police investigation , i doubt they made a specific law against taking pictures of police with a camera, its always been illegal to obstruct a police investigation, cops may say " its illegal to take pictures" but what they mean is its illegal to obstruct justice , and if they figure what your doing is obstructing justice , you will be arrested be it with a camera , a sketchpad , or fingerpaints .. makes no difference.. the last thing a cops needs when he is arresting someone is a crowd of people with shiny things in their hands pointing it at you , not only does it make you nervous , its dangerous.
