of course no way it is going to get as big as ipod SOON , but , if it has a nice design and functionality , PLUS some kind of lcd screen that is really good I can imagine that it will sell well , especially if the price is right
however there can be issues with not so legal mp3's , and in the end the only thing that is selling those ipods is the fact that you can put any kind of mp3 on it without it being important you actually paid for the song
so if I can do that on a zune player , I will buy one when it comes out !

Yes, it was meant to be funny, but it also signifies a big problem MS is facing.
Right now, Apple has by far the largest market share when it comes to mp3 players. So, right from the start, MS are facing an uphill battle. The only way they could do well is by beating Apple where it is strongest: stylishness, design and simplicity. Because, let's face it, that's pretty much the only reason people spend twice as much on iPods as they would have to on any other mp3 player.
When it comes to stylishness, design and simplicity, MS sucks. MS beating Apple in those fields seems close to impossible - especially because reputation counts here, with mp3 players being fashionable accessories as much as they are music players, and MS does not have a good reputation when it comes to these things.
