If You Use Someone Elses WIFI Connection...
If you use someone elses wifi network, does that mean they can see what youre typing or know what sites your connecting to?
does it make you vulnerable in any way? |
YES they can see EVERYTHING if they know how of course
most likely they wont know how , cause they dont even know how to put security on their wifi network however it does make you vulnerable as you dont know WHY the network is open |
yea I wouldnt mind knowing how they can see it considering I always bootleg WIFI
|
if your setup is shared then youre fucked yes they can install a keylogger, must say 99% of the ppl with an open wifi are clueless
|
they say that if your network is open you are more prone to computer hacking so I guess the people with the wifi network is more at risk...

sheesh dude basic windows knowledge |
i want to stop sharing my maps. how do i do it?
|
they can see what your doing via the means of either a proxy or a packet sniffer
just because ther is no security on the setup doesn't mean that they don't know where they are doing , could a honey pot a trap but most ppl that setup a wifi network wont know how to use a packet sniffer or what it does , so you don't have anything to worry about |
i love when people sit outside the office and I catch what they are doing, its funny to se some of the sites these business man visit in the parking lot while on lunch break
|
they couldnt see on your screen what you were doing.. but Im sure the router & what not picks it up.. thats usually on by default. But unless you guys had VNC or something without a password & whatnot.. then not on the screen
