StrongBox alternatives?

Anyone recommend a IP tracking and brute force blocking software? Something that doesnt charge monthly.

Thats what Strongbox does, amongst other things. Why are you opposed to it?

It is a monthly charge, but Phantom Frog does things other protection can't do...and they have a free trial, and if it doesn't protect better than your current system, they'll pay you a $100 for trying it. http://phantomfrog.com/pricing.html
