Tampa? New Orleans? Palm Springs? Looking for feedback...
We are looking for the 10th Anniversary site for Cybernet Expo 2007 and are considering Tampa, New Orleans and Palm Springs. We have whittled the list down to these three cities and plan to announce the dates soon (tentative showdates to be in late May or early June 2007).
We know that pretty much every city has plusses and minuses but we'd like to hear some feedback from you about why or why not we should consider these three locations. We will be taking accommodations, hotel staff, local attractions, accessibility, price, etc.... all that stuff into account. Your thoughts? Thanks... |
i'd love to see a texas show man. like san antonio. that would be hot.
|
palm springs rocks
|
Heh... so would I man... San Antonio would be hot alright but not in the sense you would like ;)
Austin is the only place to be in TX |
Got to vote for the home team! :winkwink:
|
Tampa would be cool. I'd go if it was in Tampa. :thumbsup

Tampa........
|

|
Wow... Tampa is overwhelming so far... I'm actually not surprised tho...
|
I hear Tucson is pretty. ; )
|

Have it here and I will help you bro. Tampa is a couple hours from Miami, You guys already hold a bunch of stuff over in Cali.... New Orleans would be good location. |
Tampa is great. you have beached right near, and Disney and all that is 45 min away. International airport, so people from other countries dont have to puddle jump.
Prices are lower than Plam springs. And there is also deep sea fishing near by. |

Thanks Will... much appreciated. It seems that a few places there really want our business and would be ready to go by next spring. And yeah, it would be very interesting to see all the devistation... |

you would have to clear customs in miami or atlanta, or another airport. tampa does not do immigration or customs. orlando is 1.5 hours from tampa and the beach is about 45 minutes from tampa central. overall, convenient but not that convenient. |

I voted for Tampa of course...:thumbsup
New Orleans is a cool idea though... |

I have visited all those places and they are all nice but, Tampa Rocks!:thumbsup
|
Tampa would rock for sure! But i am a little biased. As other said all ready Tampa area has a lot to offer , beaches, attractions, cheaper and will save me on the travel fair :winkwink:

Dusty is right....mark another one down for Tampa. |
Disney is a drive, but we do have Busch Gardens, and a Hard Rock Hotel / Casino, not to mention Ybor. Tampa's got a little bit of everything.
|
Well, since Biloxi wasn't an option, New Orleans would be my bet.
|
I was very underwhelmed by New Orleans in my first visit (before the hurricane) and honestly Florida is ho-hum ... I can't believe there aren't other cities this could be held at?
|
Morongo??
|
Palm Springs.

Austin would be better IMHO. Of the cities on the list, I think I would have to take a bye. |

I've never been to any of those cities. Here's a bump for ya dude!
|
oh yeah tampa is my pick :)
|
Tampa!!
As I told Jay when we spoke, Tampa has my vote. We are 5 hours by car from Miami, and it is soooo different than Miami it is hard to even make a comparision besides the fact that they are both in Florida! Tampa has also shown it welcomes the adult industry, The Night Moves Awards are held here every year (http://nmaea.com/index2.html).
There are plenty of hotels.....and tons to do! You have the beach, theme parks, Disney, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are about 1.5 hours away.....Busch Gardens & Adventure Island are in Tampa and the Hard Rock Casino is also about 5 minutes from the city center. There is also YBor city....basically a college like atmosphere with tons of bars, a comedy club, Gameworks, Splitsville, etc. Tampa also has 2 International Airports to fly into that are very close together- allowing webmasters to shop around for pricing.... So obviously my vote goes to Tampa & as I had said, we will be more than happy to help out if you guy need it! Take care :) Kristi |
palm springs for sure.. its closest for me.. not a fan of fla
|
Did 2 shows at New Orleans, no more NO
Palm Springs would be fun |
Palm Springs is great!!!
The Weather will be great, and lots to do in and around the city. |

we have some super fun gay bars here too :winkwink: |
Also if in tampa the owners of Voyeur Dorm can get you charter fishing deals as we own http://bitethissportfishing.com/
also we have 2 stripclubs in town where we can hook you up http://www.secretscabaret.com/index.html |
Thanks Kristi...
Looks like Tampa is still dominating here... |
Tampa... saves me from having to fly anywhere:winkwink:
|
Tampa :thumbsup
|
Austin would rock, but supporting New Orleans is the way to go!
|
Hey Jay..
As much as I would like to stay close to LA.. Palm Springs would be nice.. but, I think the bigger draw would be New Orleans.. I remember the Internext show there a few years back.. and it was good... |
You got to keep Cybernetexpo in Cali.. Palm Springs is perfect.. The morongo casino would be great, nice and hot, pool, cabanas, casino, everything you can think of... Of course the Marriott in Palm Desert would be another ideal location... My vote is Palm Springs.....
