I got my PDA with broadband internet and i will be posting from all kinds of obscure places. The shower, the movies, walking down the street while exercising, i've even contracted with WEG Cory to lease me a little person to post with the PDA while I sleep.

actually verizon gave me some false info on that, but its cool.

you cant hop on the net with a laptop through it but it does what i need it too.

when i am out or on the road, all i need is internet, enterprise email, and icq, i can do all that with this.

at first i was pissed at em, but with this i dont even need to take the laptop.

I am surprised you can't use that as a modem when you connect it to your laptop. I have the i700 powred by Verizon and get speeds around 256k when its hooked up to the laptop. I did need to hunt down a driver to do it though...:thumbsup

a buddy of mine just tunnels it through his dedicated server. I believe they block certain communication ports, but if you can tunnel it, you got internet...

I looked at the Q too. Ended up going with the sidekick 3 though. No regrets at all. Love it. Can check the forums, do email, icq, aim, msn, and yahoo. Plus built in mp3 player camera etc. Now in contact 24/7 Even forward my 800 number to it when Im planning on being out of town. Good stuff. :thumbsup

i cant get sidekick on verizon. no worries. i'll give this a shot if i dont like it, its treo 700p time.

Well, you need a vpn for the laptop to have internet, I believe. Do you got opera for your pda? It's very nice man. It auto resizes images on opera's server server then displays them to you. It's really neat.

i think they do have it for it. i was able to locate the chat app that you can use icq, aim, yahoo, and msn all at once on it.

i think i will make a new icq to use just for the pda so i only give ti certain people that need it or post it to an emergency contact area.

i am looking for opera now for the Q.

not sure if they have it yet because its so new.

thats on the list next should i not like this one. i have different needs than some that are more hardcore pda people. i only need minimal things to be happy. :)

i have the internt on the phone unlimited bandwidth, but you cant hop with it.

meaning that you cant use your laptop and jump through the pda to the web.
