selling adult movies to distributors
 

Hello everyone... I am new to this forum... wanted to say hi.

For my first post, I am looking for information on selling adult movies to distributors. We are interested in producing our own movies and we have everything we need on that end. What I am lacking information on is how to get the movies to distributors and make revenue. I am guessing the best way is to contact the distributors and sell them on what we have after we make the movies and if they buy they buy (or partner). But you never know what ideas or what anyone can bring to the table, so that is why I am posting this.

This new venture is more for "fun" for us, as my partners dont care about money... they have the attitude... if it works it works, if it doesnt it doesnt, we will have fun doing it. If we make money, we will do more, if not then so be it. They have their ideas on how to make good adult movies and they want to give it a shot.

My question is, does anyone know where I can find information on selling the movies to a distributor (or do a revenue share) or is anyone interested in being involved and helping us out and of course you can get a cut of the proceeds.

I am open to anything at this point, since I am at the beginning of gathering all my info.

Good luck. There are a lot of shady Distributors out there (search Old Pueblo) and others that want you to sell them the DVDs at a price lower than you shot the content for, or want exclusive Distribution for content in all mediums and markets, etc.

One piece of advice is don't tell them that you are not in it for the money, or they will see to it that you don't make any money...

I have enough content already shot for 10 DVDs (60+ hardcore scenes, plus hundreds of softcore scenes), many shot with 2-3 cameras, featuring both established stars and 100% amateur fresh faces, and I'm also on the lookout for a Distributor (although I'm in it to make money).

If you locate a good Distributor, let me know - I'll do the same.
