discussing physics on a webmaster board
someone posted this riddle on another board (a shit one):
"The question is: A plane is standing on a runway that can move (some sort of band conveyer). The plane moves in one direction, while the conveyer moves in the opposite direction. This conveyer has a control system that tracks the plane speed and tunes the speed of the conveyer to be exactly the same (but in opposite direction). Does the plane ever take off, and why or why not?" the nerds said "sure it takes off, the wheels dont power the plane the engines do" i say stfu and read the fucking question this is my illustration which supports my theory it WONT take off: http://karensbitches.com/flight-test.jpg http://karensbitches.com/flight-test.jpg http://karensbitches.com/flight-test.jpg discuss. |
dude, did you miss my icecream thread?
of course the plane won't take off. the plane does not move, the wheels and the conveyor move. without air movement, there is no lift, ergo, no flight. |

back to gallery templates for me, then sleep :) |
yes no lift no fly
you have to get airflow over the wing go turn your shower on..if you have a shower curtain..the same force that brings the curtain at you in the shower...is lifing the plane |
wont happen. plane has to be moving yo. is the elementary class? :winkwink:
