What is the best password manegement software for members?
 

We've tried a few and have been problems. Is there anything anyone has had a good experience with?

Must be able to take high volume of members.

We bought it and it took months for TMM to even have it close to ready, so we had to go with something else.

Interesting, a lot of big sites use proxypass or strongbox. I hear those are the best. The only other option I can think of is Pennywize, but I've heard lots of people complain about it.

What kind of problems you got using Strongbox?

We use Pennywize, and so far so good.

we use strongboxxx man. i love it. 100 bucks per member domain and forget about it.

Strongbox has what it takes but costs more then proxypass,

I tried portcentry , ip protect and pennywize.

proxypass does it for me ; completly eliminates proxy password sharing.

recommend.

It's been fantastic for password protection. Only two issues.

1) The code to make sure it's a real person is always a jumbled mess., like X3FGHH6. I would prefer something like "butter" or "swimmer". But it is effective

2) Upgrade issue conflict with Apache.

Early on they did have some issue with the server requirements for the install. Once those were completed it was ok.

xxxjay, what version of SPARTA do you have, I can not find any recent support tickets for SPARTA so I am not sure what was up there.

I know you bought SPARTA in the very early stages so it was still very young back then, not sure if you are still using it now or how long you haven't tried it, many things happened to SPARTA since then.

Stromgbox is awesome and if there ever is a problem Ray takes care of it very fast. Recomend it 100%.

if you were unfortunate enough to go through anyone else but ray personally to get strongboxxx you are shit out of luck

the ONLY way to get strongboxxx is to talk to ray personally and have him do the install himself, otherwise you will get shit support and a fucked up install

We bought Sparta when it first came out becasue we figures it would be best to have all compatible software...months went by and it was never ready. We switched to proxypass and started to have problems...now we went to strongbox and after a brief honeymoon...things are back to shit again.

LOL - I think we still have the copies that we bought. I would love to see it at work. We waited for 3 or 4 months after it came out and it wasn't functional.

Does it work well now?

honestly, I am wondering what you all are doing wrong then...not to sound like you all are fucking things up, but sounds like you are having a pattern of fucking up some of the most solid software out there

I know HUGE sites that run strongboxxx and never had an issue, in fact some of the largest programs on the net run strongboxxx and have never had it poop on them

Part of the problem is we may have gotten too big and are experimenting with tweaking down security to make SB work with our amout of volume.
