Found this on another board and you are who I thought of instantly

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning. "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap-- alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

just out of curiosity, when did I get on your bad side? you seem to rock back and forth between a really nice guy to a complete asshole on a consistant basis...I can't seem to figure you out, one minute you are nice to those around you, the next you are really grumpy about everything, and not just me either, I even see you be whiney to those close to you

Jace why aren't you mad at content owners for not contacting us? We aren't the only ones that read GFY.

As a policy FriendFinder has stopped excepting 3rd party complaints because we recieved too many fake complaints and it ate too much of our time sorting it out. Why can't you accept that?

Actually, I have contacted microsoft and adobe last night as asked them how they felt about you all profiting and supporting the theft of their content, already got one response and have been chatting with them this morning, they are very interested in how it all works, apparently they weren't aware that it was affiliate programs like you all that are keeping those sites open and making money.

As for content owners, you all have already stated that if a content owner contacts you all that you will look into it and if there is deception that you will cancel their account, I accepted that because it is a very reasonable thing to do...you are right, you can't take all third party claims seriously, there would be thousands of them

Certainly it applies to many, not just in this field ... society as a whole, it seems. So perhaps you could have/should have addressed the thread as such, instead of singling one person out? I think it would've been received better and perhaps had a greater effect.

what does it matter who my partners are? the statement was a general point about two ways of doing business...besides, my partners are quiet people, I would rather not get them involved in any of this, but Lars has never had any dealing with them

and Lars isn't being singled out, I have a lot of people I call out on a daily basis with questionable business practices....I just bullshit and waste time on gfy in the background and when things like this come up it stays in my mind

And most of them are like that as far as I can see. So, no credit given. Whoever actually owns the video gets no traffic from it so has no chance of making a buck or two off the surfer.

Pornotube is capitalizing on people uploading content that they do not own.

I actually have no problem with that, but I also have no problem with Lars not taking action until the actual owner of the content in question contacts him with a complaint.

as far as I know pornotube is still in beta, right? and also, do you know where that video is being used other than pornotube? most sponsors, aside from 1, have NO issue with their content being placed on pornotube as long as it is being promoted someone else as an embedded video

that example you posted is a 45 video, most likely used for promoting of a paysite...that is the great thing about pornotube that everyone is seeing (except you all), is that affiliates can use it as a free bandwidth service for embdedding videos in sites for paysite promotion...NO ONE else is doing that on the scale that pornotube is

NOT ONE SINGLE video is up long on pornotube without someones written permission for it be there....I have permission from 10 sponsors so far to use their content, watermarked or not, on pornotube

no one has issue with that site except the serge army

so, before you jump to conclusions about where the video is from and how it is used, remember that what you see on pornotube is just a single use of that video, embedding that video in 10 more places could be making 1 person 10 sales a day
