There's already shitloads of electromagnetic radiation floatin around, so I think a little more aint gonna hurt.

wireless is already here. it has been for a very long time (cell phones, sattelites, gps, etc, etc). i'd be much more worried about high powered electrical lines than wireless.

That depends on the frequency and power output - Bluetooth operates at the same frequency as a microwave oven. Microwave ovens work best on foods with a high water content. The human body consists of mostly water.

Hmmm :uhoh

Yeah, I can't wait either. The best thing about it will be for travelling. When I travel with my laptop, the most annoying thing is getting high-speed net access from where I'm going.

I used to have 802.11b access with an 19db antenna plugged into my wireless ethernet card. It sucked bigtime. Latency was shit, and had a high packet loss from time to time !!!! I still have the equipment after I switched to a leased line. So I can always point it at the local university and get access if my line goes down :winkwink:

sometimes i think too much technology is not very good (and i love getting away from time to time and watching the clouds on top of some green mountain)...still, internet access anywhere would be cool ;)
