yes- the domains all started with the same 3 laters too. i would not say they are all junk- just mostly junk. we expect this to happen again soon btw. looks like somebody posted a big deposit with a big registrar group of shell's to perform giant ass tastes. it forced us to automate a lot of the backordering.

most people call it "domain tasting" - we reg'd domaintasting.net and org recently so it is still a new term. maybe it will change in names. registrars are using a term in their icann cert's that allows for cancelling domain orders within 5 days. the 5 day window was originally intended for type-o's and other user errors but is now a boon for finding traffic.

I guess if I had a shell or was a real registrar I wouldn't mind this loophole, but deep down I always thought it was BS..

I think with proper counsel, etc this could be anti trust, unfair, etc, etc. I'm not one to usually litigate but damm if they don't get a freebie TEST for 5 days..

Tough crowd out there. I still get gems from drops and buy some good ones alot but it makes it tougher.

yes. bb is short for some as bulletinboard or broadband. for the former, pornbb.com is better. nonetheless, if you grabbed it off of a drop, then it might have someresidual traffic- also makes it ok.

supply and demand. the aftermarket is now supposedly the largest domain market, even ahead of new registrations now. nobody is paying 83 cents each btw.

this is just our opinion: they posted a deposit of a few million and generated a registration list knowing they would mathematically eliminate many domains.

i was surprised by the competitiveness on the extension .biz originally. there are players who target those and also players who target .us as well. there are people targetting people's names, dictionary words, etc.. get your share of the pie at http://IPalert.com :)
