how do you start your first site?
 

After you got your domain. I mean, is there free stuff you can put on it, like pictures and shit? Or do you really have to buy content? Like, if you want to promote a site or sponsor, do they give free pics or contents?

Sponsors will give you free content, but you must promote them with it.

Of course you're not serious.

If you were serious, I'd suggest to set aside 6 weeks and start studying like 12 hours a day. Read the biz threads on GFY and there are some sites with tutorials.

Alt 1: Hire someone to tutor you.
Alt 2: Partner with someone that is already in the biz. Expect to put up cash..

Suggest you start with a free site or TGP or Blog first. Gallery submitting is another learning experience.

Most sponsors offer content or FHG's (Free Hosted Galleries) which you can host or link to and make sales. However some of the smaller ones don't and just offer a tour link.
