Well I had to come forth with the truth about the tooth fairy today...
I can't believe my girl even believed it this long. She's almost 9. No tears, just shock followed by giggles about every tooth in the past and how the tooth fairy forgot her second tooth and came the next night instead. I had told her the airports had security issues and there was a delay... haha
And while I was at it I broke it to her about Santa Clause too. Her friends were starting to look at her weird now whenever it was brought up. Oh I feel so old now... |
Well it's over now, shes growing up. No more suger coated bubble world of dreams. :P My mom never did the santa or tooth fairy thing. Infact I put all the presents under the tree. Looking back that kind of upsets me. Wish I was giving the choice to believe or not, lol.

My 7 year old boy says the tooth fairy is fake, and the easter bunny is fake, but he swears that Santa is real... wtf.
I didn't tell him any different, but I did get a good laugh. |
WHAT???? the tooth fairy is not real??? Say it isn't so, please!!!
;) haha |
I love how kids believe things like that, fairies travel through commercial airliners :)

Well now I'm going to have to think of another way around the smart mouthing... I usually pick up my cell phone and tell her I'm calling Santa... Then she's like "Nooo!"
haha... |
...tooth fairy is fake, and the easter bunny is fake, but he swears that Santa is real... wtf. >>> THE UNIVERSAL TRIBULATION OF MEN!:1orglaugh
Kids will learn about the truth of it one way or another. For the meantime, let them enjoy the thought that such "characters" exists. :) |

Awwwwww very cute! Mine is 4 so we are still in fantasy land! :thumbsup And you can't be old RED cause that would mean that I am REALLY old! :winkwink: |
my daughter is 5 and she believes nothing - very inconvenient, you know.
|
I used to pretend i believed in the tooth fairy anyway so that out of guilt, my parents would still leave me money...

Did you read her Nietzsche bedtime tales? ADG Webmaster |
My kids still humour me. :D They know I won't deliver the money unless they pretend to believe it.

There is no Santa? :(

Yesterday on a re-run of America's Funniest Videos there was this clip of two kids coloring easter eggs in front of a large bay window. It was dark outside, and wouldn't you know it the easter bunny was in the front year placing easter eggs around. The kids saw it - and got scared. It was great.

When my son was 5 he decided there was no Santa Claus. OK, I could deal with that, so I didn't "do up" all the Santa stuff that year, but did sign things "from Santa" like I do for everyone.
He ran around all excited over all the things "Santa" had given him. Apparently Santa is real WHEN HE'S GIVING YOU STUFF!! I got no thanks for anything that year :( |
wow tough day...i love kids
