How long does it take you to make a good freesite?

I am just wondering because it takes me shit loads of time copying thumbs and pics from galleries and rename them!!!

Hours, but for different reasons. Get Irfanview Thumbnailer, it's free... it'll make your life easier.

Is it worth spending hours on a freesite?

I mean, will i ever be payed back by sales when i spend much time on building them>

if you submit galleries why don't you just use the galleries that you've already made? You can edit the galleries a little to fit the free site's colours and all that, but you'd have the actual gallery already made so it wouldn't take as long.

You're thinking right. It's all about time-maximisation. I submitted fs years ago. If you submit daily, build 30 templates (dont just change around the color scheme). No LL owner will object to seeing the same template 12 times a year. As Yngwie advised, integrate your galleries and submit those using chameleon. If you automate your thumb cropping, this should cut your build time to about 5 mins, including choosing content and upload to server.

Free sites do make money in time. Create a hub -- fake link list. ALWAYS include a link to your hub on every doorway page. Give it 6 months of constant submitting and you will have a nice little income for only a few mins work a day.

You'll get faster and better at making sales. Your first site will take too long, probably won't make a sale, but with practice you could be knocking out sites in an hour or less.

It takes me hours because I'm way out of practice, not familiar with my new computer and software and I just plain need to relearn freesite building. I do know it can be done quickly. I've done it before, and the rules haven't changed much over the years.

Yes, it can be very profitable. CuriousToyBoy made his start with freesites; ask him how he did with them. He's also written one of the best tutorials ever on the subject. Anyone who needs guidance can hit me up for a link.

When I was building them it took me less than 2 hours. It's definatinely worth the time because of the quality traffic you get from SE's and link list.

I haven't made one in about 3-4 years. Back then they took me an hour or so depending on my inspiration.
