actually when I was like 16 or 17 and we were going out with friends and we wanted to buy a beer but in that particular shop they wanted to see our ID's, then it happened that someone older helped us.

And once or twice I helped someone else in a similar way after I was 18 probably.

the "no alcohol for kids" rule is stupid, especially if you consider a kid someone who is 20 years old, like in most places in America

Well there are parts of your frontal lobe that don't fully develop until your early 20's. This include reasoning and good decision making skills. That's why the law is the way it is. It's not a magic a number, lol. It's a scientifically proven number.

My best friend's cousin bought some alcohol for some random kids and 2 of the 3 (19 and 20) ended up drunk on the bottom of the lake. They tracked him down really quickly and he spent a few nights in jail before ending up with a hefty fine and a few years of probation.

When I was 15 there was a small shop around the corner run by an old Korean dude who would sells anything in the store. I think they eventually shut him down.
