Hey gang ... anybody know how to fix this ??
when I click on a hyperlink in IE6 for the past 2 days, it opens a blank white page !!

it worked fine previous to now ... I have been installing/uninstalling programs in the past too days .. but I dunno what caused it to crap out like this ??

Any help would be appreciated ... BTW, I am running XP Pro

try this ad-aware I use XP pro as well and have never come across/heard of this issue.

if that doesn's work, check your IE settings (internet options) in advanced make sure the following are checked.

always send urls as utf-8
enable page transitions

security----
use ssl 2.0
use ssl 3.0
use tls 1.0

also, try clearing your cache, run a scandisk and try defragging. a lot of times if I have errors or probs with IE a defrag helps, i dunno why.

Hungryman, you probabally know this, but with xp you can go to
start, programs, accessories, system tool, system restore, and there you can set your puter to restore itself to a previous day and time of when it was working correctly?..
or start making backups and format...that wasnt a joke, we all know a good format is a good thing sometimes, fixes all that wierd shit:thumbsup

I'm with lightining, if you havent formatted in a few months its time to do so...just back up all youre shit man ;)

Just clear your history and files in explorer / options
Looks like your temp is full

ok ... I have scandisked, defragged, cleared cookies, cache, and histories, as well as cleared TEMP files .. UTF-8 as well as SSL 2.0. SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 (even though I don't think I need that one), are all checked ... I still get a white page when I click on embedded links ... I can copy and paste them fine ...

Any more ideas ???
I to do not agree with having to reformat ... how can I get XP to just replace damaged or replaced files ???

I ran the digital sig file checker ... said I have 5 system files that are not signed ... how di I replace them with the original windows files ??

BTW ... my offer still stands ... 3 banners of any style and size to whoever can help me with the solution to this fucking frustrating problem ... :helpme

Well ... 2 days of trying to figure it out got me nowhere .... so I used the XP system resore and went back 3 days ... I can now click on links again, so I will have to start again on all the uninstalling and installing I did, and just check that everything is still working after each process ...

Thanks to everybody who tried to help, but I just got too pissed off to try and figure it out ... :(

do you think uninstalling/reinstalling IE is worth a try?
or installing another browser.....
