Accident Outside my house right now (pics)

Outside my house, about a 1/4 mile down the road, a car rolled, 2 cars involved, I think someone died. 2 life flights were called in to pick up people, 3 ambulances, about 6 sheriff cars, and 3 firetrucks there. Road still closed an hour after the people were taken away, Police said road closed because its a crime scene. The first picture you can kinda see the car rolled, on the left, blocked partially by the police car. The close up of the helocopter came out really good I think.

I wonder if people that had 9/11 footage got paid for it...

venus 07-23-2006 04:25 PM

I just found a picture of the accident vehicle I had over looked.
this is really cropped, just to show the vehicle, I was shooting from so far away that its a good thing the images are so big I can actually get a decent picture from a tiny section of the image.

They usually close it off only when someone dies

reynold 07-23-2006 06:41 PM

What do you think, is it an accident prone area?

blazi 07-23-2006 06:45 PM

crappy, very sad someone had to die!!!

E$_manager 07-23-2006 06:50 PM

good, you had a camera with you.

Marcus 07-23-2006 06:53 PM

Why do people have to drive so fast on the highway?
I almost got killed on the highway from some fucking bitch who was in a hurry, slammed into me and I jacknifed in the middle of the highway.
If you just drive the normal speed limit you get there in the same amount of time

WWC-Pajio 07-23-2006 06:54 PM

.....nice pix

venus 07-23-2006 07:03 PM

the police are finally gone, the road was closed for 3 hours. Seems kinda long.

venus 07-23-2006 07:06 PM

This as behind my house, actually the police car closing the road was behind nny house, I went through my fence onto the road to take the pictures. the accident was about 1/4 mile down the road.

this is not a highway, its a road behind my house, out in the county, when I moved here there was no traffic, but now with new home communities not far up the road the traffic has increased. Its mostly farm lands around me.

E$_manager 07-23-2006 07:13 PM

3 hours is long time when you wait in a car and do nothing.

LOL ... no just the desert, out in the country, not much out here.. with all the construction of the new homes there is allot of trash along the roads.. you can't expect the mexicans to pick up after them selves can ya.

Here is a picture of my home, its the one in the right corner, in the curve of the road, not long after we moved in, my husband took it while flying over our house. The accident was on the road going left/right, about 4 houses down

the original inage is so good that if you enlarge it to 100% you can see what looks like a coke sitting next to the pilot.

Since it was such a quick shot, I put the camera on automatic setting and used a 70-200mm 2.8 lense.

Had one a few months ago out side my house with a heli and everything. Was crazy 3 people died.

venus 07-23-2006 10:08 PM

They should be, in case something negative happened there may be photographed evidence they could use.

If you have a personal problem take it somewhere else, you bore me with your hounding.
You know, I never think of people like you, but why am I always on your mind, your like the sick stalker who is mad about something and they keep stalking, wanting some kind of attention, any kind, that they stoop to the same levels you are. You have issues and you need to resolve them.

Hit me up on ICQ, I used to live out there. I saw more than my share of fatalities on Ellsworth.

10 miles distance, no red lights

70 MPH = 8 min 36 sec

60 MPH = 10 min

50 MPH = 12 min

45 MPH = 13 min 18 sec

Think about that for a second. The difference between 50 and 70 is just 3 and a half minutes. One song on the radio.

If you increase it to a longer drive, 50 miles with no stopping:

80 MPH = 37 min 30 sec

65 MPH = 46 min

Just 8.5 minutes saved.

Now consider this. The death rates for each change in speed on the human body.

http://www.tfhrc.gov/safety/speed/images/fig5.gif

A head on collision with another car at 50 MPH gives you a 20% chance of death. While 70 MPH (remember, just a few minutes saved) leaves you with a 90% death rate.

But it only happens to other people, right?

Dude if you've ever driven on any freeway anywhere you must know most people have no understanding of the physics involved.
