Congress targets deceptive 'sex' sites

What happens if the model's name is actually Barbie? Or she's from Eastern Europe and her nickname is Furby because she's hirsute?!? :1orglaugh

Quote:

Web pages that use innocent words like "Barbie" or "Furby" but actually feature sexual content will be subject to felony charges, thanks to a bill the U.S. Senate approved Thursday.

Anyone who includes misleading words or images intended to confuse a minor into viewing a possibly harmful Web site could be imprisoned for up to 20 years and fined, the legislation says.

20 years? Cripe!

You could kill the god damn kids and get a shorter sentence.

I agree deceptively trying to induce children into looking at porn is wrong. But does anyone in our industry actually do that? I think not. And 20 years?

Hopefully this will be just another of the 1000's of idiotic ideas brought up each year by OUR (U.S. Citizens) representatives that goes in the garbage, after costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars.

It's a outrage the amount of time, money and energy expelled to keep the American people distracted from real issues. It's even more of an outrage that we fall for it every time.
