The winner of the $5,000 NatNet Logo Design contest is.......
 

This has got the be the hardest thing that we have ever done. There were so many good entries and you would be surprised how many little tiny things come up when you are comparing such good work. To give you an idea, I had a particular favorite one coming into today that I was convinced was going to be the winner and I asked one person their opinion and they said "it looks like an upside down Pac Man"....well, needless to say after hearing that I noticed that it really did look just like Pac Man...and I did not want Pac Man representing NatNet so my favorite was trumped. In addition, the winning entry was not the "favorite" of any of the people involved in the decision...but it was the only one in the Top 3 of *all* of the decision makers.

So...without futher adoo....idoo.....adu....edu.....oh hell, I ain't never gonna spell it right, so.......

LOL... the recycling logo is public domain man...

"The corporation dropped its application rather than fight for the trademark, and the Anderson design fell into the public domain. Several years later, CCA designed two revisions of the three-arrow recycling logo. The version with the arrows within a circle connoted recycled content (white arrows in a black circle meant 100 percent recycled content; black arrows in a white circle meant recycled content of a stated percentage). This logo is just badass ... it looks like planet earth but it really isn't.

The RECYCLE logo is actually THREE BLUE ARROWS that form a triangle with rounded corners ...

Contests like this should not be winner take all.

Some recognition for time spent should trickle down to at least a few others.

All designers have is their time.
