Fat32 to NTFS conversion...
I know it's easy to do, but does anyone have a good resource or walkthrough?
Much obliged. :) |
|
better off reformatting unless you really cant reinstall your os
|
Yep Sandman is right, backup your shit if you haven't already and start anew and reformat selecting NTFS as your file system.
|
Backup your shit.
Start -> Run -> CMD convert drive: /fs:ntfs Pray. |
there are many issues in upgrading performace to stability it should only be done if you have software installed you cant find to reinstall or something like that.
|
One more point
You can convert FAT to NTFS But you cannot convert back |
The best part is that it's a brand new laptop...so reformatting is an easy option. but I'd like to avoid that if possible
It's a great laptop. the only drawback is the Fat32 structure :disgust :error Thanks for the advice :thumbsup |
