CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Aly Drummond announced today that she has left the adult industry to focus on a new endeavor which she believes will facilitate a crucial improvement to society and the world at large.

Drummond leaves open the position of director of public relations for TheBestPorn.com, one of the Internet's foremost adult website guides.

"I honestly can't say enough good things about Rick Muenyong and The Best Porn," Drummond said. "He's a brilliant fellow, one of the smartest I've met, with an exceptional business and a heart of gold. He's been extraordinarily patient and considerate as I've found myself stepping further and further down this new path and I'll always be grateful for his compassion, generosity and support."

An outspoken and respected personality in the online adult industry, Drummond previously served as the director of online marketing for AVN and director of marketing and public relations for Python Communications. She hosted the "AVN Afternoons" radio show on Ynot Radio and, prior to that, the popular Webmaster video show, AlyTV. She has been a highly visible spokesperson at conferences and events since starting in the industry in 1998 and has also been a member of the advisory council for ASACP.org for many years.

"Rather a lot has changed for me lately," Drummond said. "My priorities, values and even beliefs have evolved significantly. I have a sense of purpose now that I've never known before. Driven by a fundamental belief that I can and will make a big difference in the world, I have no choice now but to do so."

"At the risk of alienating a few friends, I extend sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone I've shared time with during my career in the adult industry, especially Rick Muenyong, Tony Rios, Chad Beecher, Kim Stuart, David Van der Poel and? oh good lord, you know who you are for heavens sakes! SurvivorManual.com is scheduled to launch on Nov. 6, 2006 and was originally planned as a resource for survivors of childhood and domestic abuse. Drummond, herself a survivor of childhood abuse, has greater ambitions however.

"Everything's essentially connected especially how we treat ourselves, each other and this planet,? Drummond said. ?Together with my remarkable friend, Angela Shelton (www.angelashelton.com) I'll be encouraging and facilitating personal healing, breaking the cycles of abuse and adjusting the way we treat the planet. When people start to heal and learn to honestly and objectively respect themselves, that invariably leads to improved relationships with others and healthier choices that affect just about everything else. With some humor and intelligence and an awful lot of work, we're going to use the Internet to change a few things around here, before it's too late."

I will never forget the time I met you in 2001. I was three months into the biz and I really didnt know anyone. And my buddies went to bed at 10 pm. There was no way I was going to go to bed at 10 pm in Vegas on a friday at my first webmaster show.

I knew there was a silvercash party at cheetah's and I didnt have a pass. Mind you I thought all you needed was your badge.

Well needless to say I looked like a lost puppy and you grabbed me got me a pass and I before I knew it , I was getting lap dances paid for and enjoying everything Vegas has to offer. :pimp :pimp
