is there a way to make a custom flash player with a watermark on it
 

I'm showing my videos using flash but was wondering if there is a way to have a watermark on the flash player itself so all the videos will automatically be watermarked. is that possibe? I heard about something like this before but can't recall where

yes... you can make a player 'template' and insert the videos... the template will have a watermark

nice! does that allow people to still take the videos and use them without the watermark?

also do you or anybody or any software that can make the flash template?

Yes, anyone who knows what they are doing can still get the video file that the flash document is streaming. There are even firefox plugins that help with it. If you're just trying to figure out an easy way to watermark and protect videos this is not it.

hmm there is no way I could hide the location of the flash file?

someone once told me that you can create files that will ONLY play in a certain player...so if I create a flash file and a flash player, you can only play that flash file in MY flash player that I created

anyone know if there is any truth to this? it would be EXCELLENT for members area videos

that will llet you encode you videos in flv format for flash , then you just need a simple video player with watermark template ( many free ones around )

free video site like youtube. I would try to make it myself but lets just say I am not the best person when it comes to such work lol

I need almost identical features of the youtube player. the watermark, play/pause/rewind/volume/share video etc...

the video controls and watermark are a snap , but once you want to start integrating features like sharing videos its alot more complex than just flash..

start with the riva encoder above , then do a little googling on templates to run your flv's
