I Ate Lunch Next To An Executive Team From Hard Rock Cafe And They Were Talking About

A concert that they plan to sponsor in New York City. There was a big table of people and they were trying to decide who should headline "KISS" or "Montle Crew". One of them suggested that "Melissa Etheridge" or "Kyle Minogue" might be more appropriate.

Then they all talked about how stupid the new Pussycat Dolls music video featuring Snoop Dog was because it was "way too sexual".

Lawd Mercy.

Personally, I thought it was a pretty good example of how far out of touch entertainment executives are.

I mean come on now, KISS? Isn't the lead singer like 70 years old now or something? No one wants to see that.

I actually think KISS is still a great headliner. It doesn't matter how old they are, they can still pull a huge crowd. And I do think the Pussycat Dolls are stupid and too sexy (along with countless other celebrity whores) as they are roll models for young girls.

I'd go see Kyle Minogue though, for sure.

The only thing better is Mini-KISS playing at YP this year... Bob got 'em at half-off the regular KISS price!!!!

Kiss, the Crew or Melissa Etheridge... hmmmm.... not an easy call on that one.

stickyfingerz 07-19-2006 03:06 PM

Kiss pulls HUGE crowds.

They will pull a huge crowd but let's just say their clientele must be aging a lot...

KISS still rocks the house, one of the CD's my daughter kept stealing, along with AC/DC. If I remember they had the biggest tours for 2 years straight a few years ago, heres the list for 05
The Top Ten is:

1. U2
2. The Eagles
3. Neil Diamond
4. Kenny Chesney
5. Paul McCartney
6. Rod Stewart
7. Elton John
8. The Dave Matthews Band
9. Jimmy Buffett
10. Green Day
