maxcash has the code on there site somewhere; they use it for their potd surfer trap.

IF i dont make money from my surfer then i'll send 'em off to at least get me some help on traffic trades, so i get a new surfer outta the deal, and the cycle begins again.

I could name 3 big sponsors off the top of my head that do it... Don't ridicule him for doing it as well...

Holding a surfer to a site against their will simply doesn't seem right.

Actually, if you send those people to your trades, it ain't gonna do much for ya there because if your popping them up in new windows, those trades aren't gonna be able to track that traffic AND I don't know about you, but I know that I wouldn't wanna have a trade partner that pops my site up with 2 others on their page, I'd be willing to bet that the prod from that would be absolutely horrible.

Hey man, I don't have a problem with you popping as many consoles as you want. Crash their fucking machines if you can, just get 'em to sign up even if it's outta desperation and fear. It's all about money.

But, if you can't make the code yourself or figure out where to find out how to do it, you have no business with it.

I didn't suggest he needed retention, and I gathered he wanted to put it on a site that was definitely not geared toward keeping surfers. I was only making an observation that nobody would make an intentional second visit.

so... what is the problem you have with popup and exit console... sure there is a place for everything.. and if you are not using all you tools you loose out on potential $$$

Both adult and non-adult site are using popup and exits... have you been to yahoo or msn lately... I use this on free site and cj... but not for tgp or gallery... this is obvious... there are many paysite sponsor who are using exit as a chance to get the nost out of the traffic they get... is this wrong... some are even start to pay on exits...

there is a bad oder going about that say we must traet the surf gentle and give them what they want for free so as not to offend them... give me a break... they want free and we are in this biz to sell... can you see that picture... make them pay for it...

Popup and warning box are okay for me.. you use you judgement but do not get holy for the other person please... hell if i could I would have exit console on my gallery for sure...

Pop ups work just fine, I've been using them for years. Go ahead and use them, but popping 3 consoles at once will either crash there system or scare them into just closing all the windows as fast as they can.

Yeah, bdld, use 'em, but if you can't code it yourself or figure out where to learn how to do it, as I said before, you have no business using 'em.

As for you other guys who get pissed off at bdld for his desire to use them, why? You think it's "bad for the industry" or something? How many of you (who feel this way about the consoles) submit or own TGPs? Now THAT's what's bad for the industry.

I don't give a damn whether you post to TGPs, or own them, or use a billion consoles, myself. I just think people need to be able to do things for themselves in general, and also I'm curious about why people are pissed about the consoles...

I'm not a fan of any kind of popup, but in this case it is simply the no close button.
I didn't say this is wrong - I bet these paysite sponsors of whom you refer allow the surfer to close the window.
I am currently developing a pay site, so no, I do not support the ideal that the surfer deserves anything for free.
