dot TK domains are they worth it?

I have one that I picked up for free when they came out.

Are they worth keeping?

I don't even know what .TK is.

It is another country extension

They gave away domains a few months ago, now they want to start selling, so they said either pay for it or they are selling it off..

I havent done anything with it, infact forgot I had it.....

But it is a good domain for SE

Ah. I didn't know.

I had to make the same decision about a few .TV domains. I ended up keeping several of the one word adult ones that would be worth hundreds of thousands if they were dot coms instead of dot tvs. I only kept a few of the ones that were under a couple hundred dollars a year, though.

If they want more than $100 +/- a year, why bother.

You won't get type ins, and that's what we look for in our generic domains.
