DOJ on Gambling and ASACP
I will be volunteering in the ASACP booth at Internext for a couple of hours on Saturday. Joan Irvine continues to raise the profile of this organization we all support. So I was thinking about ASACP and noted in the news [http://www.klixxx.com/archive/betonsports.shtml] the Department of Justice had detained BETonSPORTS Chief Executive David Carruthers on a visit to the US and was filing various online gaming related charges. I could not help but consider how far expending such efforts could go in, say, wiping child porn off the Internet. We all realize there are victims of online gambling ? but is preventing a Missouri native from choosing to risk a few dollars in a UK-based online casino so much more important than taking a stab at ending Internet CP distribution and tracking online child predators? Where is the logic here? Where are the priorities in the House and Senate? :disgust

We have record breaking deficits, trillions upon trillions of dollars in unfunded mandates, a catastrophe of a war in iraq, $75 a barrel oil, a minimum wage that hasn't been raised in a decade, and congress decides to debate on flag burning amendments and gay marriage. Priorities? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
Priorities??????? WHAT Priorities???? We are talking about politicians here:Oh crap
