Shianna forwarded this to me. It was in a sponsor newsletter she got. Best words I've seen written about this business in a long time! :thumbsup

Friends, I have to share with you a discussion I had Via email with one of our webmasters this week.

It started out with this email... To save this person embarrassment, I will not say who it is.


hey im brand new at this and i have no idea what im doing..
i want to make you guys money, and make some money myself at the same time
is there any way you could write up a basic web site for me to upload?
also, is there any software i can use to help market this? any help would be greatly appreciated!

At first look, sending this email is wrong on so many levels. (I laugh whenever I hear anyone use that term but, I can't think of another way to describe it)

I wrote to this person explaining that No, we don't supply websites for our webmasters. His reply was the following...

that sure sucks....how am i supposed to make money then?
its nice to see how much you care about your affiliates....


I then went on to tell this person that the webmaster is expected to do a few things for themselves. That, FLASHCASH has what I consider the best affiliate support in the business. His next and final reply was the following...

you dont honestly believe that you have "the best affiliate support in this industry"do you? i seriously hope you dont believe that. "another program" hooked me up with a layout that is totally rockin. they understood the fact that i dont know html and javascript and whatever else you need. i got myself a host and uploaded it and its doing just fine. best of all, it only took them about half an hour to get me the layout. now THAT is what i call "the best affiliate support in this industry". you guys are nothing compared to them. lol i seriously have to drink a beer and get high because you think that you have "the best affiliate support in this industry"....i cant imagine what corner of your rear end you pulled that out of but i must've been far back and painful to reach.


So, there it was...someone asking for something for nothing. First of all...this a business, not a hobby. If you truly want to make money in this industry, get off your ass and learn everything you can. Spend weeks reading various Newbie sites and see what they have to teach you. And for Christ's sake, if drinking and getting high is more important than learning to make money, go back to flipping burgers. It is people like this that are causing Large Link Sites and TGPs to ban free hosts.

totally agree with you, the one thing about running a large business is at the end you realize you cant please anyone.

You should have asked him if he also wanted you to submit galleries for him to every TGP and search engine out there too.

Just to clarify: I wish I could take credit for having written that email but it wasn't me. It was forwarded to me by a friend and was written by another sponsor but i thought it was good enough to share.

Yes, I too received that newsletter this morning, it made my day it did.... that guy is too funny! I bet he's just smoking and drinking his way into oblivion right now :1orglaugh

If I had known that some sponsors were simply giving sites away to know-nothings I could've saved myself a year of learning the ropes.

That was included in the <a href="http://www.flashcash.com/.sbean?bean=1-0-3-4685-16-1-12" TARGET="_blank">Flashcash</a> newsletter, and I see some new sites listed in there that look pretty interesting. I'm going to have to whip together some new galleries for those this week, they look very promising.

Keep the great stories like that coming, gave me a good chuckle.
