some estate?

wedouglas 07-18-2006 04:43 PM

I'd never spend that kind of money on someone elses house. If I could afford that, I could afford to tear it down and build my own custom home.

If I spent that kind of money, it sure as hell better to EXACTLY how I want it.:2 cents:

the same about me. I will not spend time on searches - will built it according to my taste.

JMM 07-18-2006 05:37 PM

Please do. It is just too small for us and we can't move until we sell this one.

I would be willing to take $22,500,000 if you can do a 30 day escrow.

MikeVega 07-18-2006 05:38 PM

I maxed myself out at 20 million on my next home ... the extra 3 1/2 million could break me ... maybe next year ..:(

asdfqwer 07-18-2006 05:41 PM

Ok,it seems that anything less than $23.500.00 is not considered as cash )

madawgz 07-18-2006 05:42 PM

damn thats an expensive house! :o

Webby 07-18-2006 05:52 PM

Mmmm... for less than a quarter of the asking price there are plenty homes in much nicer locations and with some character.

BTW.. Some of these locations are increasing in value at up to 50%/annum - far more than that home ever would.

You know, I've always felt the same way. I've never understood why people that have that kind of money would ever buy something "prebuilt"?

Agree DG ... The difference is it's not land to live on - it's land for marketing and hype :winkwink:

There are far more interesting and spectacular locations than malibu beach - some extremely rare in the whole of the planet - and with far more prospects of capital increase. Can think of some properties that were... eg.. $1.5 mill three years ago and now worth $8.4 mill - and destined to be worth $12 mill by the year end and little prospect of any slowdown.

Good point. And I wouldnt build it on a beach near a bunch of rich snobs and other people.

pornguy 07-18-2006 07:14 PM

There is an amazing home in Ensenada right on the water for sale. Big as hell, and far less than that.

AmateurFlix 07-18-2006 08:04 PM

"Estimated payment: $114,725 Per Month*"

I wonder how many people take mortgages on homes in the 8 figure range.

Coastal Erosion

KrisKross 07-18-2006 08:25 PM

That's absolutely insane. Nice house, but the neighbours would suck. And $23 mil is retarded.
