GFY Design Contest Critique
 

A thought occured to me and let me know what you guys think. It does seem that the voting for the contest is really guarded well enough against fraud. But someone is always trying to cheat the system! What if once the voting is completed the final judges go back and review all the sites, there aren't that many, and make their own personal critique's. That way they are sure that a site is ranked correctly based on the criteria set for voting. Some people might have their spot shifted but I for one trust the judges to make the right decisions. One last thing, I would also like to see the judges make up a quick critique on the sites submitted to let the designers know what they thought of it overall and where areas of improvement are needed. Well thats my piece, let me know what you all think.

asking an awful lot of the judges to tell you how to be a better designer, especially on 26 sites:stoned

No one can tell you how to be a better designer, if they did you would design like they do and designing is all about individuality. What I was saying is more or less what they did and did not like so the designers know where his or her areas of design are weak. Lets face it unless your already a professionally trained designer you DO NOT know everything. Thats why people create boards such as this to help each other out and share tips or techniques. Obviously the top five or so won't need a critique but for those amateur designers a little feed back would be cool.

I think I need critique. My site was last a while back, now I can't see it at all. Feel like a kick in the balls. :thumbsup

Yeah,
that does sound good.
Have the Judges say a little about each site since
there isn't that many..
Also, they need to decide who is breaking the rules and who isn't.

Maybe have each judge give their own rating on Each site, since
it does appear that the Top Few can be weighted to be in the top.

I do hope that people are not sending their friends to vote on their site. What happened to just the GFY people voting?
