Do You Look At Your GFY Account As A Business Asset?
How many of you view your GFY login, including its acquired postcount, as a business asset?
I'm not talking GFY as a business tool, I'm talking about your actual login. If you do view it as an asset: Granted logins are branded to the individual and personality of those that post under them, and couldn't be sold to a 3rd party and maintain any value, but how much do you think your login is worth to you as an asset for your business? |

Its worthless. Any of us could be gone tomorrow and it would not affect GFY in any way. Postwhores will keep whoring, amp will keep popping pills and Lawrence Connor will keep adding you to ICQ.
Business wise... my name has gotten me quite some business in the past. But even if I changed names, I'm sure I could pick up clients just as easily. Skill is a natural magnet for a steady clientele and not a GFY personnality |
then again, I want to buy a new apartment soon and I doubt the bank will give me money when I just say that I am polish_aristocrat from GFY...

I suppose it depends on what you use GFY for - to me GFY is most valuable as a place I can come and mouth off, talk shit and generally get stuff of my chest. So I suppose its worth the cost of a good therapist.... |

Personally, I dislike people who give respect to individuals on this board based on postcount; individuals who have no skills in anything, nothing to offer the industry or the world in general other than making worthless posts. I also look down on those individuals as well who make such worthless posts.
I'm amazed, daily, at the sheer number of people in this industry who really have no tangible skills at anything yet are employed and making money. It's like this business fosters the coddling and admiration for those who are the weakest links in this industry. *shrug* |
