Major Changes at Google (article link)
 

Just got this in my email today. The article is titled: The Evolution of Link Popularity.

With two links on two completely unrelated pages I managed to recieve a PR4 from zero on a page that is about 2 months old.

Wait a minute.
Link popularity is important for ranking high in the SERPS?

Reciprocal links and link farms aren't as valuable as a link from a page that doesn't have alot of outbound links?

most of the article is common sense , take note its not written by google and his whole article is based on his own ( 6 years ) experience. theory.

I have 2 sites that are pr2 and a pr3 on another that don't have any incoming links at all..
