How to create a password protected directory ?
 

at a linux server
it gives syntx error to the command below;
"htpasswd -c .htpasswd username"
any suggestions?

Telnet ?
What if my server doesnt have telnet access ???

then make the .htaccess file on your home machine. you'll run into a problem then of making an .htpasswd file, since you won't be able to generate that on your system. might have to get someone else to make that for you.
