Hi Guys,

I've many a time chuckled at some of the frankly daft legislature coming out of the US and yes found from time to time that my nose has pointed sky ward in a way that Europeans can do. However, it looks like Britain too has joined the ranks of the insane. I'm not a massive smoking fan, and I can see why smoking in public places is a bit of a social faux pas.

However, I swear down smoking is becoming less socialally acceptable than carrying and rocket launcher or bank robbery.

Smokers driving company cars, vans, lorries and enclosed tractors in England could be fined £50 for lighting up at the wheel if the vehicle might be handed over to a colleague from work later in the day, the Department of Health said yesterday.
Under regulations it wants to enforce when smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public places next summer, company vehicles would be treated as workplaces if they could be used by more than one employee. Drivers would not be allowed to smoke at the wheel if there was a risk that colleagues might later inhale their smoke, the draft regulations said.

That's insane. Even if there's no smoke left in the vehicle? Unbelievable.

Thank goodness that auto exhaust is healthy to inhale...

same here.. pubs, restaurants, taxis, coffee shops and now they want to ban smoking on streets.. like holy fuck! Like us smokers are the ones that cause all these illnesses.. cars create 1000000000000 times more population yet they don't get banned.

I know smoking sucks and I wish I never started, but I would rather be around smokers than having a bunch of drunks get in their cars and kill people.. Oh, but that's ok though.

England has unfortunately been taken over by a bunch of anal retentive revenue collecting cunts. They want to make silly little laws and fines for everything they can (probably to justify their existance in the system and create revenue to support their jobs)

here are the facts.. If they actually really cared about your health (non smokers) they would BAN cigarettes. Not make all these stupid rules.. they are just making all these rules and lawas to shut you the fuck up..

Wether or not you like it, smoking DOES affect the areas in which it's done. Smoking in a car kills it's resale; there's no easy way to just slap a new set of paint on upolstry.

So drive your own fucking car if you want to suck on a fag, ya ponce! :)
