Paul Markham, step inside! (KARMA is a bitch!)
What comes around goes around, ya old geezer!
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh 3 years ago you and I butted heads over my first "ContentBlowout" and had GFY blazing back and forth for WEEKS! You thought I was crazy and ruining the content biz - but after all of our battles and talks, AND you telling me yourself - I know you "got it"! Those were good times, my friend! Good, profitable times! :winkwink: In the past year my content licensing business has transformed based on the changes in the marketplace regarding user/surfer demand for fresh, professionally produced video. That, of course - and the advent of increased worldwide broadband usage. So, now I'm trying to cater to a different type of client. My focus is selling top quality 2006/2005/2004 DVD's that have NEVER been available on the web from from well known "AVN Award Winning" studios at what some webmasters consider HIGH prices! ... but that's the thing! It's so funny that somehow these webmasters are convinced that this particular unsaturated, high-quality studio produced DVD content should be priced at $99 - $149! Even @ $299 for 1 title w/ 50 digital images is a STEAL (with discounts, of course - based on volume :winkwink:) ... BUT $99?!?!? C'mon!!!! LOL It's cool that some companies can sell 1998 - 2003 content for that cheap and I know that there's value in that (and filler content) AND not everyone needs/wants high end DVD's (or can afford to spend top dollar) BUT the fact that these guys are CONDITIONED to think that the value of a DVD ... ANY DVD is $99 to $149 is a bit preposterous! Anyway, I just thought you'd get a kick out of it! Now, I can complain that the market is ruined by certain peoples perception that content is over priced and under valued! LOL :winkwink: |
funny :1orglaugh
|
hehehehe! That must feel REALLY good :)!
|
hey jonathan, you want me to talk to american hardcore for ya ;-)
|

J$tyles, I need some content bro. Here's what I need. I need a small sampling of about 30 images for EVERY niche you can come up with. Know where I can find it?

It's like that with people in the biz that live 10 minutes from me too though. Mitch from Netbilling ... I only see him at shows or Costco StevePP - shows or the Valencia mall! :1orglaugh BTW - DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup |

You are just a hard ass negotiator ... but see the value, so pay the price! :1orglaugh I appreciate the biz and back and forth chats :thumbsup |

|

|

but this thread is 10000000% spam and you know it :1orglaugh |
Quote:
Me? Creatively SPAM? No fuckin' way! Not me, no, no, no! LOL Nah, It's a walk down memory lane with Paul and a lesson in KARMA for me! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh I used to primarily sell high-quality (PRODUCED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE NET) content on the cheap and it pissed off a ton of content providers - now this handful of webmasters EXPECT it with DVD's but it ain't gonna happen! PS - shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :winkwink: |
Quote:
... but thanks for registering tonight! :thumbsup Hit me up for a big bulk deal, Trey! I'm adding another 500 titles in the next 30 days. I'll hook you up and we can make sure theres a '99' somewhere in the price just for you :winkwink: |
What about 10+ quality videos in as many niches as possible J, can you come up with that?
|

haha right on.. been looking to buy some dvds for a big mass update |
I think the problem a lot of people have is they see there way as the only way.
Some say "Exclusive is the way to go" and I make a lot of money going Non Exclusive. I was right and wrong about the price of content, until you put me right. Sometimes there is more money in in selling a $5 set 100 times than selling a $50 set 9 times. Seems many tell you exclusive is the key and then want it for peanuts. So back to the purpose of your thread, you spamming your new content. Do they have any teens stuff we can use on the paysite? |

Presently, TheContentStore.com's biz model is based on DVD licensing. I know that I'm leaving money on the table and not properly servicing webmasters that just want individual scenes. This is going to change soon! I'm working on launching another content site shortly that focuses specifically on video clips in various niches! 30 - 45 days until launch if I can get all my ducks lined properly! (site design, programming, content, etc.) The contracts are all in the right people's hands. Just a matter of time and execution! :thumbsup |
Quote:
Just take some time and look through what we have there already. LMK what else you're looking for and if it's not in the 500 titles I'm adding - i'll go out and cut a deal just to get you what you need. I'm good like that LOL |
Quote:
I'll address the rest of what you said here tomorrow :winkwink: Man, i'm tired! :) |
Quote:
Yes I know it's tough to find our style in the DVD market, which is probably why it sells so well there. Any teens stuff is worth a look at. It will give the site more appeal. You're right about buying the whole DVD though. I rejected buying some because only 1-2 scenes were any good. |

If you have a great niche that you "own" with hard to come by content then exclusive is best as a website operator but you still need high-quality non-exclusive content to maintain the surfer's interest and beef up you offerings. Most sites fall into a general category whereby non-exclusive content is really the only way to go. You build great tours that are eyecatching and just always update. Keeping it fresh is the key! Sure there are a ton of surfers that jump from site to site and may see some of the content elsewhere but there are a million sites out there and millions of surfers so, AS ALWAYS it remains a numbers game! From a content provider's point a view - selling non-exclusive makes the most sense but sprinkling in some semi-exclusive deals adds value to content and relationships as well ... and the fact that I have a nice mix of clientele allows me to offer semi-exclusive to cater to their needs and gives them a certain edge in the marketplace to say ONLY X many companies can feature this content so it's unlikely that the majority of surfers will have seen it before. :2 cents: |
