Also, it should be noted that the Israeli Military Industries received its greatest impedus to growth after France reneged on the deliivery of paid for Mystere aircraft. Israel has under contract with the US Dept of Defense developed and co developed several very important Missile Defense Systems, one of the latest being a "sensing shield" to protect armored vehicles, troop carriers, and tanks. It has been proven and approved by the US Dept of Defense and as I understand, is being deployed to protect our troops. They also advanced the technology on the computer software for the Patriot Missile Defence System, and the Theatre High Altitutude Defense (THAD) System. Israel has consistently been the United States closest ally in that part of the world.

Palestinians were there before 1967. The place was called Palestine before 1948. Therefore anybody living there would be a Palestinian.

i have man... that is exactly why it says that arab refugees from israel didnt consider themselves palestinians until 1967... meaning palestinians did already exist... the refugees just didnt consider themselves to be until that time.

A lot of those "facts" are open to interpretation. Check out any unbiased history book and check out things like the Balfour declaration......I'm not saying it's all false, but the area is full of "facts" of both side and their both bloody. Neither side is cut and dry like these "Facts" insinuate.

Well... israel was declared as a state by the UN in 1948, recognizing it as a state.

But, and this is a quote from wikipedia, a very trustful source, "For over 3,000 years, Jews have regarded the Land of Israel as their homeland, both as a Holy Land and as a Promised land"

Israel was occupied by jewish kingdoms and states for more than a millenium starting at around 1200 BC. Than they got fucked over by other rulers.

Well, I dont think that's a justifiable analogy, because one person living in a house and coming back is way different than a whole culture and an established state/kingdom.

But nonetheless I will humour you and ask you how you could poissibly know what people living there before 1967 considered themselves to be? If they lived in Palestine they would consider themselves to be Palestinian. You seem to think that they thought they were something else, so what did they think they were?

Not all palestinians are refugees... and not all palestinians are of the islamic religion. Believe it or not there are Palestinian jews.
I was referring to the refugees who left israel. That specific group. Im not following my own agenda, although I admit Im pro Israel. But im trying not to rant on about how they should die.

I have read very similar facts to these in a historical encyclopedia... You also forget the assassination of the Egyptian President Sadat who had been killed BY ARABS (his own people) for "standing in the way an Islamic state and for being the first Arab leader to sign a peace treaty with Israel, in 1979."

He was assassinated by Muslim extremists, who were opposed to his peace initiative with Israel. Now instead of being at peace, avoid a war, other attacks and also get more of their so-called territory, they prefer killing their own political figure. Stop me if im wrong, but this doesnt sounds right to me.

Then again, politics are complex. I base myself on historical written facts. There's always seem to be another side to the medal no matter what...
