XBiz Summer Forum, what would you change ?

The show was Great, I'm in next year.

allow swimming in the pool at night... :2 cents:

allow JFK to get into any clubs with shorts, that we rent. including Rain...

ProducerCashDave 07-16-2006 11:20 PM

I heard the show was the best one of the year

dissipate 07-16-2006 11:22 PM

I would tell them to chlorinate the fucking pool@#$@#$

I scraped my foot, and cleaned it up. Then went in the pool.

I then spent 6 hours in the hospital today with an IV in my arm because my foot blew up like a grapefruit w/ cellulitis. I'm on painkillers cause i can hardly walk + high doses of antibiotics for a week.

When we arrived at the hotel late Tues. night, the first thing we asked was if the pool was open. The Front Desk Guy said it was only open until 6pm!!! Huh???

Anyway, this is a hotel/casino decision, not anything the forum organizers can fix.

I realize... I thought it was nice of them to allow us to PARTY outside afterhours ;

Honez 07-17-2006 09:49 AM

I thought it was an outstanding show. I loved being off the strip and the fact that we didn't have to walk a country mile to get to anything going on at the hotel. The cabanas were set up very nicely and the pool area rocked. How sweet were those blow up chairs on the beach area during the opening night party?

I do agree that it would have been nice to have the pool open later then 6pm. And one other thing I would have changed was a few companies inability to not bring and brand an item another company paid sponsorhsip rights for. :(

K R I S T E N 07-17-2006 10:47 AM

I too want to see the pool open later next year -- this is something that we will definitly push for -- but alas, the final decision is the hotel's.

Bummer about your foot --- eeek! Glad you are taking care of it!

The show was a success because of the genuine support of the community -- so, THANK YOU for that!

Stephen 07-17-2006 11:37 AM

Before the show a lot of people thought "Vegas in July? Are you kidding, what about the heat?" But I heard no one there complaining about it - between the air-conditioned indoors and misters outdoors, it was all good...

and the Chilled pool water was great. I even had goose bumbs from being cold in the pool, it's 110 out and i'm cold, wtf, I related it the to drinks...lol

all and all the show was great, and Kristen, Stephen, Gracie, Alex, steve the whole xbiz crew is the best ;-) :upsidedow

HomeFry 07-17-2006 02:18 PM

Do the cabanas @ night, instead of in the 114hahaha176; heat.

SiMpLe 07-17-2006 02:36 PM

Honestly wouldn't change a thing - The show was solid full circle.

Ya that was brutal - I can't believe those guys at the hotel - it's summer - one of the best things about the miami show is the late night swims

Poppy 07-17-2006 03:31 PM

MaddCaz 07-17-2006 03:34 PM

Bump for a good party next year.

Elle Sommers 07-17-2006 10:46 PM

I had a GREAT time! I agree with everyone, night swimming would be awesome but I think there would be a lot of:

a. drunk people falling in the pool and drowning and
b. fornicating in the pool at night.

The DL 07-17-2006 11:44 PM

I thought that the lunch at Simonz on Friday - the one that ran out of everything and closed down 20 minutes early - was pretty brutal; especially the hostess' attitude about it all.

Apart from that I had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed "waking up and smelling like adultery," errr, getting to meet the XBiz crew and putting a great many of faces to names :)

XonDemand 07-18-2006 10:24 AM

I like the private dinners, small groups, 10-40

that should be arranged prior to the events. make him a press pass, etc. its not impossible. if you tell the management you will have staff photogs for media outlets they will allow it.

the show was a blazing success because the amazing online company that works intimately with online since their inception did an amazing job at not making it too corporate and sterile. :winkwink: you guys let the webmasters be webmasters, didn't treat them like a number or a coin in the bucket, and gave everyone an amazing atmosphere to do business and play alike.

i'm not blowing smoke, i now have 4 fav shows for both biz and play. xbiz summer forum, phoenix, and costa rica. oh, and webmaster access in nov, with xbiz awards in tow. :thumbsup

XonDemand 07-18-2006 01:41 PM
