Messin' with a new cellphone cam [PIC]
 

Just messin' with a new cell cam here today....after spendin' a few hours (in mall AC) - pickin' up a new cellphone.

Nothin' interesting...just a test. Its from a Samsung SGH1609 model (1.3mP), and we're still monkeying around with all the features at the moment.

Anyways...good or bad? Whatcha' think?

I kinda' thought so, too. That's straight from the cam (other than resizing), no post-edit.

I'm kinda' cellphone challenged...but this one rather impresses the hell outta me so far. Plays mp3s (like an ipod), takes digital stills and does video also.

I'm hopin' it'll cook me bacon 'n eggs in the AM. :winkwink:

took these the other day with my cell phone (the motorola razr with 2mp camera)

i was sort of impressed with how they turned out... i wasn't really trying to take pics at all. my wife had the real camera... i was just walking around pointing my phone camera at shit and snapping pics out of boredom.

I just wanted somethin' small and compact - I wasn't expecting the quality to be too good...but I'm pleasantly surprised so far.

The salesgirl (who wasn't hard on the eyes, to boot)...tossed in a 512mb SD storage card on the deal - and was incredibly patient (and informative) with all my lame techie questions for almost an hour. :1orglaugh

She really knew her stuff; its been a long while since I've dealt with such a great salesperson. Her nice cleavage had NOTHING to do with us spending a lot more than we intended. :winkwink:

Last time I went for a cell phone, they told me about phones that are mp3 players, gameboys, camera's. I told them I just want one with good reception they said they didnt have that lol

That's sorta' what I went through earlier in the day. My head was spinning after the first hour...trying to compare features, plans and prices between two different services (telus & rogers). We've been with telus for a few years and like their service...but they didn't have the particular model of phone I wanted.

At least the air conditioning was good in the mall, heh (it was over 100F outside).

damn that is really clear for a cell, usually they are all grainy.

took these from my treo 700w. i am impressed with how far cell phone cameras have come. my first camera phone was just about useless because the resolution was so shitty.

Those pictures look good. I was under the impression that the VGA camera in RAZR V3 was a bit lousy compared to the rest on the market. I left the shop without it but perhaps I should buy it anyway.
