BannerDept.Com -- step inside pls

I emailed you twice and I sent you a message on ICQ so I figure I'd check here. What happened to my banner order?

If anyone can get a hold of this guy, please direct him to this thread.

Thanks!

to banner dept:

Whatever it is that you're doing... I would HIGHLY suggest contacting gene immediately.... Probably the last person you would ever want to fuck over.

1.) The guy is FILLED with knowledge in adult and mainstream and knows a LOT of people.. one of the nicest guys i've had the pleasure of doing business with also.. if you rip him off, i can pretty much guarantee nobody from GFY will be ordering from you again as gene is a 100% professional and wouldn't fuck YOU over.

2.) He can send you a lot of business... because a recommendation from someone like gene goes a long way for the people that know him and have worked with him

He did some work for me the other day. Everything went smooth.
Anyway i just sent him a message with a link to this thread.

Good luck with that. I've never even heard of that designer.

tenderobject 07-16-2006 12:11 PM

goodluck gene!

TampaToker 07-16-2006 12:14 PM

Bump for good guy :thumbsup

VIPimp 07-16-2006 12:45 PM

Did you prepay?

This is why I dont like prepaying, especially when I am a established company versus someone I never heard of... never had luck with anyone when i prepay.

Before he did the 2 banners for me I hadn't heard of him or about him either. We talked for a bit and he said he new a few people from the board and threw a few big names from here at me but for the life of me i cant remember which ones.

Anyway, for the first banner i paid the guy upfront, he delivered within like 30 minutes. I was quite impressed. I talked to him the next day about making one more and he actually did the work and delivered the product before getting paid ........... so im not really sure WTF is going on / but i hope he comes through for you.

Yeah, I prepaid. I've dealt with quite a bit of providers and most of the time it went well.

You sent me the project late Friday evening...and I had a couple question to ask you when I got back from dinner, but you were offline.

I wasn't home much at all this weekend, I was with the girlfriend at her place.

Relax a bit and I'll have your stuff to you tonight.

KrisKross 07-16-2006 01:10 PM

Telling your customers to relax when they're concerned about delays in your delivery is pretty shitty.

Thanks for the update. Like I said, this thread is the my last resort since I didn't have any email or ICQ communications with you after you ICQd right after I paid. Anyway, I look forward to the banners. I am at GMT +8.

There were no delays in my deliver. I had questions that weren't answered before he went offline Friday night...so I couldn't get them done up that night, as I told him. That's in no way my fault.

It was only $30 / 3 banners...not a big deal.

I had plans this weekend and didn't get back until today. It would be nice if someone on this board knew what they were talking about, before shooting off. :pimp

KrisKross 07-16-2006 05:41 PM

I'm not shooting off. I don't care whether or not your delays (or lack thereof) were justified. Gene, a customer of yours, had concerns about an order he placed. Rather than answering his concerns professionally, you told him to relax. Shitty thing to do.

BlueWire 07-16-2006 05:50 PM

I'm sorry, but this is no way to treat customers...

Being critiqued by another designer sucks

VIPimp 07-26-2006 09:29 AM

I received the banners. The deal is concluded. He is a good banner designer. I failed to specify the size but that's my fault. He did a good job.

giftedtwisted 07-26-2006 02:21 PM

Cool glad to hear it :thumbsup
