:mad: :mad: :mad: How bout this shit...we rush through breakfast and run over to the airport just to find out that our flight back to Tucson is fucking DELAYED...We are going to be delayed at least 1 hour and somehow I dont think they are going to compensate me in anyway. Who else thinks this is fucked up? If I had known the plane was going to be late, I could have slept another hour. :mad: :mad: I think I need a drink!!

At most airport bars they will make it a double for $1 more...

one hour isnt bad. ive missed a flight and had to spend like 14 hours in two different airports on standby. my fault though.

They won't compensate anyone for just a one hour delay. One hour isn't long at all though, especially if you have a laptop with you

Obviously this must be your first time flying. There are delays and cancellations all the time. I just had a cancellation Tuesday, had to leave Wednesday instead, it sucks but getting mad about it is just plain silly.

try a 1.5 hour delay out of Phoenix and arriving in Detroit while you watch your plane to boston taxi out to the runway. Then having to walk the streets of detroit at 2am looking for a pack of cigarettes while the cops eye you down for being the only skinny white boy in detroit without a chalk line around him.

1 hour delay is nothing. You don't even get anything out of 12 hours delays sometimes. Just depends on if you're flying 1st class or not. As someone else mentioned, boobs get you farther too.

My flight out of Vegas late Fri. night was first delayed by at least an hour - it was late arriving. Then, as we are on the way to the runway there's an issue with the internal lights. Back to the departure gate so a technician can sort it out ... another hour later and we are finally ready to take off.

The guy behind me has an issue with the tray and smartly alerts the attendant who tries to fix it. He says if he can't fix it ... back to the gate as it's a safety hazard.

Luckily, everything worked out and we finally departed at something like 2:30am (originally scheduled for midnight), arriving in TO a full 2 hours late.

Not the worst airline story I've had (or heard) but not a pleasant way to spend the night! :mad:

Having not flown since 9/11 save once, I have heard the comps are all but completely gone. And if you throw a fit, they used to give you freebies. Now, they just call security and have the "terrorist" removed.

HA HA HA I was mostly bored and wanted to bitch about it and it worked out. You all stopped by to talk shit to me about it. I really enjoy people who talk shit so don't think I am going to be upset about it because its not going to happen. I love GFY and I had a blast in the Vegas airport. I like the show my boobs idea! I will remember that next time I am stuck in an airport somewhere. We ended up being over 2 hours late, and I guess I have been lucky in the past to NOT get stuck somewhere.
